Family travel planner and founder of @littlevoyageurs Charlotte has visited over 45 countries with 4 kids. A travel guide author and expat for the past 10 years, she creates custom travel itinerary for busy parents. Here she gives us family guide to Marrakesh.
1. La Famille
A homey lunch under the lemon trees. The vegetarian menu changes daily, so you might want to make this place your kitchen during your trip.
2. Amal Women Training Center
A nonprofit organization helping women in need by training them to give cooking classes to visitors. A wonderful family learning experience that doubles as a beautiful experience of connecting and chatting with local women.
3. Anima Garden
A unique garden featuring playful colorful sculptures playing hide and seek in a gorgeous garden. Both amusing and educational.
4. Cafe O clock
Another must in Marrakesh, mingle with locals and attend the most incredible classes: oud (traditional guitar), calligraphy, Moroccan culture, and cooking. If possible plan to visit on Thursday at 7 pm when a traditional storyteller comes to the café.
5. Agafay Desert
No trip to Marrakesh can be complete without a trip the nearby dreamy Agafay desert – sleep at La Pause, or Inara Camp or visit just for a day at the Alkamar Camp.
